The Ten Kingdoms founded by the Families created by the Dektheoi.

They are now a collection of nations and city-states spread across the continents, linked by ancient ties of blood and magic to Isulstad, the City Isle, the Island of the Gods. At the dawn of civilization, the Ten Families lived upon this island with Dektheoi, and these “Children of the Gods” learned much of the earth and how to tame it from the Gods in their generations spent here. Sent out to the many corners of the earth these families set up the Deciregna in ancient times, ruling the other peoples of the earth with powers given by their deities unheard of elsewhere.

Eventually, these kingdoms clashed in war with each other leading to the very foundations of the earth to be shaken; the temples and home of the Gods, upon the top of the mountain on Isulstad, was destroyed by an unholy union of the Forstura’s chief servant, Typhoon, a giant black winged horse, and the sons of Anaxaneas, the hero of the Golden Age. With mighty magics they scoured the mountain top of its beautiful paradise, leaving the Dektheoi’s connection to earth damaged. Their constant maintenance of weather and climate was compromised and the patterns of the planet have become erratic, at times devastating, in the past thousand years since the end of the Golden Age.
