Upon the Sydlig Plains, the Uruz shepherd herds of great aurochs, while clans of Centauri lead a nomadic life of ritual games and races across the steppes. Both groups prefer to avoid the hustle and bustle of human affairs.

Facilitating trade between the Elfien living in the Isvield Forest and the nearby human settlements the Uruz are a peaceful, pastoral people, though their horned minotaur-like appearance can be quite frightening upon first encountering them.
