Geography
Isvieldara is the southernmost region of the Kingdom of Benselot. Once, ruled by the kings of this northern realm in ancient days, now the Fyrdom of Isvieldara is autonomously governed by the Lords of Mok, who rule from the Markvi of Elak'ris.
Maomi is the only city in this region, sitting on the shores of the Elak'abor connecting the region’s trade to Thelune's Gap and the Mare’On. From Fördäm fortress, on the border of the haunted forest of Mok Tra and the sinister region of Elak'karum, to Fornmborg Keep between Castle Mok and the city of Maomi, the Lords of Mok cultivate and protect their borderland duchy.
On the Sydlig Plains herds of great aurochs are shepherded by the Uruz and Centaur who avoid contact with humans if possible but are known to trade with the nearby with Elfien.
The Isveild Forest is inhabited by Huldri Elfien, ruled by the King Anterrin from his hidden enclave deep in the forest. Few Elfien leave the forest for long, but they can be found in the human towns of the region from time to time trading or serving as forest guides.
In the Oska Skog the Wazzles, nasty goblin-like creatures, have built a small kingdom of their own around their city of Wazzl-Patt. They are hostile to Elfien and humans but avoid contact with Tomte of any kind, fearing them above all else. Rumors say that the Wazzles have a pact with the Giants to their north in the Oska Bergs though few venture into those dangerous lands.
The Markvi Anberron in the east of Isvieldara is ruled by Duchess Gerrama Novish. She has kept relations with the Lords of Mok cordial but there is no friendliness between them as old wounds still fester, as her family are always looking for a way to rule Isvieldara for themselves.
The large port town of Sodrahamn and its little sister Dara serve as the connections for trade between the two human duchies but are not ruled by either lord, as their town councils have ruled them autonomously for centuries.
Ancient castles build in the time of The Empire of Anaxaneas such as Skyddara, Beskydad, and Bavarborg dot the landscape, mostly harboring wicked monsters and bandits these days.
Culture
Proud of their ancient heritage, many of the humans of Isvieldara wear traditional clothing that those in Benselot or Isulstad might find quaint and rural.
As they are subject to frequent raids from Wazzles and Dakhain, the people of Isvieldara are martially inclined, even peasant farmers and townsfolk keeping a spear, axe, and bow handy. Swords are rarer though, usually owned by knights, nobles, and town guards.
The native written language, called Ygatu, of Isvieldara is one that uses fur trees and marks to write sentences upon birchbark. However, this written language is only used by woods witches and hermits to cast spells by the era of the Herrodian War.
