When he was slender, Bagraê was a dancer. The gold of his garments glistened and glowed nearly as bright as the sun, while the gems on his fingers glittered and glowed nearly as bright as the diamonds of Yama. Always second to his brethren, he danced to make up for his faults. And his dancing caught the eye of the most fertile Goddess of all, Camæ, bounteous harvest̀ herself. The heavy breasted, wide hipped, serpentine bodied seductress of the soil slithered upon his barge one day. And they danced to unending rhythms of cosmos.
From their happy binding came forth a host of bounty to the earth. The precious and semi-precious gems spewed forth from them both, their seed’s spilling out beyond what womb could bear. Bagraê and Camæ birthed the Golden Mained Ones and the Elfien of the Jungles, the ruby eyed ones, the carmine encrusted ones, and the turquoise and lapis lazuli bodies guardians of the deeps. They all came forth from their gesticulations, their dance. Slender and thick, they both became bound to a rush river of emotions that curved the planet in ways beyond measure, leaving a treasure for us all to appreciate, a treasure of bounty and luscious growth for millenia.
When Bagraê grew fat, after the betrayal of his children, the Lady of Bounty Camæ could no longer stand his laziness and corpulence. Leaving him, with a wave of her wrist, she found a new lover quickly as the Lord of Wealth Bagraê grew, and grew, and grew cold.
